Foreign Judgments Allow Collection Across State Lines
A judgment obtained against a debtor in another state can be accomplished in Ohio by application of previsions of the Uniform Enforcement of Foreign Judgments Act (UEFJA, or “the Act”). This act allows a judgment creditor outside of Ohio to record its judgment in Ohio with no need for repeat litigation of the action.
Delev & Associates, LLC, represents clients outside of Ohio seeking to collect from individuals or entities in Ohio and vice-versa. A leader in the area of collections in Ohio, our law firm helps creditors file complaints in either state seeking enforcement of a judgment issued in another state.
