A judgment obtained against a debtor in another state can be accomplished in Ohio by application of previsions of the Uniform Enforcement of Foreign Judgments Act (UEFJA, or “the Act”). This act allows a judgment creditor outside of Ohio to record its judgment in Ohio with no need for repeat litigation of the action.
